STEP ONE
Getting
Started.
Head to our online portal & purchase a custom writing package.
If you're not sure about the word count you need, contact us here, and we'll help you out :)
Select your book type, word count, add-ons and fill in our consultation form, then checkout!
STEP TWO
We outline your book.
The Outlining Process:
- Based on the information you submitted in your Build-a-Book Portal consultation form, we will put together an outline for your storybook/chapter book.
-If you've provided an outline, we will rework or make suggestions as to how we can improve on what you've provided. If you'd rather we didn't do this, let us know :)
-The outlining process comes with one major revision and one minor revision credit. To find out how revision credits work, please click here.
-Additional revision credits can be purchased mid-project if required.
STEP THREE
We write your book.
The Writing Process:
-Once the outline is set, this becomes set-in-stone for the project and acts as a roadmap for you, your writer, your project manager and your editorial team.
-Dependant on your book type, the way we deliver varies. For storybooks, we deliver the full first draft; for chapter books, we deliver an initial 25% of the book to see if you're happy with the tone and direction of everything.
-Each step of the writing process comes with one major revision and one minor revision credit. To find out how revision credits work, please click here.
-Additional revision credits can be purchased mid-project if required.
STEP FOUR
We edit your book.
The Editing Process:
-Once you've signed off the content of your writing, we then send this over to our editorial team for a thorough copyedit.
-Copyediting is the final stage of our process with you on your manuscript. If you require any further changes after it has been edited, there will be additional costs to revise the work and re-edit the work
-[ADD-ON SERVICE ONLY] We also offer a pro upgrade via the Build-a-Book Portal where we involve an expert developmental editor in your project, who will provide a full editorial assessment on your outline (for chapter books only) and will then structurally guide the development of the book.
